Sweetie is Trifecta+ Entertainment's 2007 contribution to the 48 Hour Film Project.

Starring Chad Brummett and Emily Villela, the film was written and directed by Scott Milder, from a story by Scott Milder, Mary Holyoke, Corey Weintraub, and Dusty McGowan.

The selected genre was "Sci Fi." The elements included in the film are:

The film was screened, along with the 26 other competitors, on Tuesday, July 17, at 7 p.m. at the Kimo Theater in downtown Albuquerque. It advanced into the final round and screened again at the Hyatt in downtown Albuquerque on July 28 at the 48 Hour Film Project awards ceremony, where it won five awards:

Audience Award, Group A
Best Directing (honorable mention) - Scott Milder
Best Writing (honorable mention) - Scott Milder
Best Acting - Chad Brummett
Best Film


It screened, along with the seven Duke City Shootout Films, at the DCS Gala Awards Night at the Kiva Auditorium in Albuquerque, and has since gone on to play at the Leeds International Film Festival in Leeds, UK, and The Vine Shorts Fest in Santa Monica, CA.

The film won 3rd Place at Filmapalooza in San Jose, California, making it the top American 48 Hour Film Project film of the year. It also won the award for Best Acting.

In March, 2008, it screened at the Boston Underground Film Festival in Boston, MA. In May it went -- along with thirteen other 48 Hour Film Project films from 2007 -- to the Cannes Film Festival in France.
